Mace Consult has completed a carve-out from Mace, to operate as independent business with more than 5,200 people across Europe, the Americas, Asia Pacific and the Middle East and Africa. The move is the latest instance of an investment firm looking to disrupt the advisory space, with Goldman Sachs acquiring a 75% stake in Mace Consult to power the move.

Don’t leave your fate in the hands of others. For medical issues, obtain a second (or third) opinion. The same for home renovations or vacation trips.

For your business, don’t allow clients to miss payment dates or depend on your bookkeeper to catch all errors. Don’t leave your investment advisors alone, as if they’re lepers. Talk with them.

Don’t allow yourself to “not bother” with things you think are in “safe hands” without scrutiny or interactions. If you do allow this lack of attention, you’ll eventually be looking at where you’ve been instead of where you’re going, and there’s a reason they call that roiling water at the rear of the boat a “wake.”
